WEATHER FORECAST of Snow(man) – from KOS

KIRKCALDY ORCHESTRAL SOCIETY, Fife’s Community Orchestra, issued the following weather forecast at 0630 GMT today:


A warning that on the afternoon of Sunday 15th December there will be Snow(man) arriving at the Old Kirk, Kirkcaldy. This weather is guaranteed!


Family Connections 3 & 4, KOS’s next performances at 2pm and 4pm on Sunday 15th December will feature the Howard Blake musical tale of Raymond Briggs’ daring and evocative Snowman. Narrated by Sandra Taylor and played by KOS, the famous ‘Walking in the Air’ section will be performed by the Langtoun Singers, guests at the concert and who will add their own contribution.


Other music includes the famous Clog and Flute Dances from the ballet La fille mal gardee by Herold, a Queen medley from the orchestra’s wind, brass and percussion¬† sections, a movement from Victor Hely-Hutchinson’s Carol Symphony and a new set of Carols for All cleverly arranged by the orchestra’s own John Gourlay.
