All about the Brass
Dunfermline Music’s winter concert series continues on 16 March with a performance from brass trio Triquetra.
Emily Stokes, Peter McNeill and Jordan Fairley are graduates of the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama. They have been playing together since 2021.
They delight in introducing audiences to new pieces, and to the seldom-heard brass trio format of trumpet, French horn and trombone. The group take pride in providing workshops and interactive performances as well as formal recitals.
Triquetra will deliver a concert showcasing the versatility of the brass trio. Their Dunfermline programme includes a variety of works spanning over 300 years. Well-known composers like Bach and Poulenc will feature alongside lesser-known names such as Edwin McLean and Lauren Bernofsky.
The concert takes place on Sunday 16 March in Viewfield Baptist Church, East Port Dunfermline, at 7.30pm. Tickets are available online at https://dunfermlinemusic.org/ or at the door.
